Instructions for BESCOM Meter Name Change

Step 1 – Get your Registered Conveyance Deed attested by a Notary. (There is one Notary in BBMP Ward Office Complex Bommanahalli, or in Jaraganahalli Circle on Ring Road towards Banashakari, or Near Jayanagar Sub-Registrar’s Office or May Hall on M.G.Road

Step 2 – Collect the File containing all Papers to be submitted for Name Change from BESCOM S10 Sub Division, J.P.Nagar. Landmark is Sindhoor Palace auditorium/Hall on Ring Road. File cost is Rs.550. It contains all required papers including an Indemnity Bond and a Power Supply Agreement which are pre-embossed each with ₹200 stamps each

Step 3 – Obtain NOC from DLF (Annabel Builders & Developers Pvt.Ltd) on Form-IV (This Form is available in the file already purchased by you as mentioned in Step 2). Sample Form-IV

Step 4 – Fill in all the papers in the File correctly. (Sample filled in forms) If your Apartment is in joint names, fill in all the joint Owner’s names and get all forms signed by joint Owner’s. Obtain signature of a witness on the Indemnity Bond and Power Supply Agreement.

Step 5 – If you are a GPA holder, include the notarized GPA document. All the signatures will be done by GPA, but applicants name should be owner(s).

Step 6 – Put the Notarized copy of your Conveyance Deed, Xerox copy of your latest BESCOM Bill and Xerox copies of ID proof of all joint owners and Passport Size Photograph. (Any one of these: PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Voter’s ID Card, Passport etc)

Step 7 – Submit the file at BESCOM S10 Subdivision J.P.Nagar office Ground Floor and take an acknowledgment copy.

That’s all you need to do. In the next month’s BESCOM Bill, your name will appear.
